Walking
If you are in the center of Makarska, start at the main square, Trg Frankopana. From there, head south towards the waterfront promenade, Obala kralja Tomislava. Walk along the promenade until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, take a bus to Hvar. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Hvar bus station, walk towards the center of Hvar town. Follow the signs towards 'Trg Sv. Stjepana' (St. Stephen's Square). The cathedral is located directly on the square, which should take you around 10 minutes on foot.

From Makarska, head to the bus station, which is located at the eastern edge of the waterfront promenade. Purchase a ticket for Hvar. Buses typically leave every hour, but check the schedule for exact times. Once you arrive in Hvar, you will be dropped off at the main bus station. Exit the bus station and walk towards the town center. Follow the path leading to Trg Sv. Stjepana. The cathedral is situated right on the square, and you will see it as you approach.

If you prefer a scenic route, consider taking a ferry from Makarska to Hvar. The ferry terminal is located near the main promenade. Purchase your ferry ticket and board the boat. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Hvar ferry port, exit the terminal and walk towards the city center. Continue straight until you reach Trg Sv. Stjepana, where the cathedral is located.
