To reach Mljet Island, take a ferry from several mainland ports, including Dubrovnik, Split, Makarska, or Prapratno. Ferries arrive at various ports on Mljet, such as Pomena, Polače, and Sobra. Pomena and Polače are closest to Mljet National Park. Car ferries are only available to Sobra. Ferry prices vary depending on the route and season, ranging from approximately €5 to €25. Check the latest schedules and book in advance, especially during peak season.

From Pomena or Polače, the entrance to Mljet National Park is easily accessible on foot. From Pomena, it's about a 20-minute walk to the park entrance. From Polače, you can walk to the lakes. Once inside the park, well-marked trails allow you to explore the lakes and other attractions. Rent a bike in Pomena, Polače, or at Mali Most to cycle around the park. Entrance fees to Mljet National Park vary by season: Adults: Low season 70 Kuna; high season 125 Kuna. Children & students: Low season 50 Kuna; high season 70 Kuna. Children under age 7: free entrance. A ferry ticket to Sv Marija Islet costs 30 kunas (return).
