From the center of Opatija, start at the main promenade, Lungomare. Walk towards the Opatija Open Air Theatre. Continue along the promenade until you reach the intersection with Ulica Maršala Tita. Turn right onto Ulica Maršala Tita and walk straight until you reach a bus stop called 'Opatija - Slatina'.

At the 'Opatija - Slatina' bus stop, take the local bus number 32 towards Rijeka. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Disembark at the bus stop 'Rijeka - Trsat'.

After getting off at 'Rijeka - Trsat', follow the signs pointing towards Trsat Castle. You will walk along the main road, Partizanski put. It is a steep uphill walk, but you can take your time enjoying the views. The castle entrance will be on your left side as you approach.
