This location was once the main square during antiquity. The site reveals over 3000 years of Pula's history within its 550 square meters. During the Roman era, Agrippina's House faced the town's main square and was adorned with marble, colored frescos, and intricate grouting. Archaeological findings include traces from Venetian times dating back to the 6th century, as well as imported Hellenistic and Etruscan ceramics from the 3rd century BC. Two stone monuments discovered at the site have sparked significant interest among archaeologists and the public. Agrippina Minor was a Roman noblewoman, sister of Emperor Caligula, wife of Emperor Claudius, and mother of Emperor Nero. The site may have been used as a sacellum, a small shrine, or a room dedicated to the imperial cult during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Today, Agrippina's House is integrated into the OTP bank building, blending the ancient past with modern life. Visitors can explore the site free of charge and witness the seamless integration of historical remnants within a contemporary setting.
