The Muzejsko-galerijski prostor Sveta Srca is located in the beautifully renovated former Church of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Pula. The church was built in 1908 by nuns of the Sacred Hearts. After World War II, the nuns left, and the Archaeological Museum of Istria took over the space, using it as a depot from 1958. The building's renovation began in 1994, and after 17 years, it reopened in July 2011 as a museum-gallery space. The space is designed to be multifunctional and multimedia-friendly, hosting exhibitions, lectures, congresses, and concerts. The interior features added galleries connected by a bridge, and the apse has been converted into a large wall for film projections. Today, Sveta Srca hosts a variety of exhibitions showcasing the region's rich artistic heritage. It is also a venue for lectures, concerts, and other cultural events, making it a vibrant hub for art lovers and cultural enthusiasts.
