From Rovinj's Old Town, start near the Church of St. Euphemia and head south towards the waterfront. Follow the path along the harbor, continuing along the Obala Pina Budicina promenade. Upon reaching the end of the promenade, you'll see a park area to your left. Follow the path through the park towards Punta Corrente Forest Park. Look for signs directing you to Plaža Balota. The walk from the town center takes approximately 30-40 minutes. There is no cost for walking.
Public Transport
While there are no direct public transport routes to Plaža Balota, you can take a local bus to a nearby area like the city park or forest park. From the bus stop, walk towards the park entrance and follow the trails leading to Plaža Balota. Bus services may vary, so check local schedules. Bus tickets within the city cost approximately 36 HRK.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Rovinj. A taxi ride from the center of Rovinj to Plaža Balota typically costs around 45 HRK. The base fare is 15 HRK, with an additional 6 HRK per kilometer. Ensure the driver is aware of the destination before starting the ride.
Car
If driving, start from the center of Rovinj. Head southeast on Ulica Grisia towards Ulica Montalbano. Continue onto Trg Valdibora, then turn left onto Ulica V. Nazora. After about 1 km, turn right onto the D75, following signs for Pula. Continue for approximately 3 km until you see signs for Plaža Balota. Turn right towards the beach parking area. Parking costs range from 5-10 HRK per hour.
