Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading towards Sljeme Mountain from Zagreb. Use the D1 road and follow the signs for Medvednica. Once you reach the Sljeme area, look for signs directing you to Mićino vrelo. You may need to park at nearby designated areas, as parking directly at Mićino vrelo may not be available. From the parking area, follow local trails marked with signs toward Mićino vrelo, which is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the main road.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mićino vrelo via public transportation, take tram line 14 from Zagreb to the last stop at 'Mali Losinj'. From there, you can catch a bus to Sljeme. Be sure to check the local bus schedule beforehand. Upon arriving at the Sljeme bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers along the trail that leads to Mićino vrelo. Look for trail markers, as they will guide you along the path. The hike offers beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

• Walking/Hiking

  For those already on Sljeme Mountain and looking to hike to Mićino vrelo, the best starting point is the central Sljeme area. From the main lodge, take the marked hiking trails that lead eastward toward Mićino vrelo. The path is well-trodden and offers scenic views. It should take approximately 30-45 minutes to reach Mićino vrelo, depending on your pace. Ensure to wear appropriate hiking shoes, as some parts of the trail may be uneven.
