Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling from Sljeme Mountain by car, begin your journey by heading down from the mountain towards Zagreb. Follow the main road (D1) leading you towards the city. Continue for about 11 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Aleja Hermanna Bollea. Turn left onto Aleja Hermanna Bollea and keep driving for approximately 2 kilometers. Mirogoj Cemetery will be on your right at Aleja Hermanna Bollea 27. Parking is available near the entrance.

    To reach Mirogoj Cemetery from Sljeme Mountain using public transportation, first make your way to the nearest bus stop. Take bus number 140 towards the city center from the Sljeme bus stop. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Mirogoj' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the cemetery entrance, which is approximately 500 meters. Please note that a bus ticket costs around 11 HRK (Croatian Kuna) and can be purchased at kiosks or on the bus.
