Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the heart of Split, the Riva waterfront is a great place to begin. Head towards the Diocletian's Palace, which is easily recognizable by its impressive ancient walls. Once you reach the Palace, enter through the main entrance, the Golden Gate (Zlatna Vrata), located on the northeastern side of the Palace. After passing through the Golden Gate, continue straight into the Peristyle, the main square of the Palace. From there, look for a small passage on your left leading to the cellars. Follow the signs that say 'Substructures' or 'Diocletian's Cellars.' The entrance to the cellars is located at Ul. Iza Vestibula 3, which is just a short walk away.

If you're coming from further away in Split, you can take a local bus to the city center. Catch any bus that goes to the main bus terminal in Split (Autobusni kolodvor). Once you arrive at the bus terminal, you can either walk to Diocletian's Palace or take a short taxi ride if you prefer not to walk. To walk, head towards the waterfront (Riva) and then follow the steps outlined above to reach the cellars.
