Getting There

• Walking

  Kaštelanska Vidilica is best accessed on foot. Starting from the Split Riva (waterfront promenade), head towards the old town and enter Diocletian's Palace through the main entrance (Golden Gate). Follow signs towards Varoš, exiting the palace through the Silver Gate. Continue straight onto Ulica Ruđera Boškovića until the intersection with Ulica Kralja Tomislava, then turn left. Continue on Ulica Kralja Tomislava, then turn right onto Ulica Kralja Zvonimira until you reach Ulica Domovinskog Rata. Turn left, and you'll see a small park and a staircase (Ulica Kamenita) leading up the hill. Follow the path upwards for 10-15 minutes to reach the viewpoint. There are no entrance fees or special transport tickets required.

• Public Transport

  While walking is the most direct way to reach Kaštelanska Vidilica, public transport can get you closer to the Varoš district. Several bus lines run near the city center; check local bus schedules for the most convenient route from your location. From the nearest bus stop in Varoš, follow the walking directions via Ulica Kamenita to reach the viewpoint. A single bus fare within Split typically costs around €1.50. From the bus stop, follow the walking directions to reach the viewpoint.

• Taxi/Ride-Share

  Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are readily available in Split. Request a ride to the Varoš neighborhood. From there, it's a short walk to the base of the hill where Kaštelanska Vidilica is located. Be prepared for a 10-15 minute uphill walk via Ulica Kamenita to the viewpoint. A short taxi ride from the city center to Varoš typically costs between €5-€10. There are no parking options at the Vidilica.
