Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Zadar Bus Station, exit the station and head south on Put Benka towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ulica dr. Franje Tuđmana. Turn left onto Ulica dr. Franje Tuđmana, then follow it as it curves into Ulica kralja Dmitra. Keep walking straight until you reach the Old Town entrance at the Land Gate (Landska vrata). Once through the gate, take the first right onto Ulica Široka, which will lead you into the heart of the Old Town. Continue straight until you reach Forum, which is located just ahead on your left.

    From Zadar's main square, Narodni trg, head towards the Church of St. Donatus. Once you arrive at the church, walk directly towards the nearby Roman Forum, which is just adjacent to it. The Forum is an open square and is easily recognizable by its ancient ruins and the prominent church.

  • Public Transport

    If you're coming from the Zadar Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and head towards the main road. Look for local buses that go towards the city center. You can take bus lines such as 2 or 3 that frequently run to the Old Town area. Get off at the 'Poluotok' stop. From there, head towards the Land Gate (Landska vrata), enter the Old Town, and follow Ulica Široka to reach the Forum.

    If you're at the Zadar Cathedral (Sv. Stošija), simply walk across the square towards the Church of St. Donatus. The Forum is directly beside the church, so just follow the path leading from the cathedral to the Forum, and you will arrive in a matter of minutes.
