Getting There

  • Bus

    From Zadar city center, head to the main bus station located at Obala kralja Tomislava 5. Take bus number 34 towards Veli Rat. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Veli Rat, disembark at the last stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 500 meters northwest on Veli Rat Street until you reach the Lighthouse Veli Rat, which will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Zadar. Head out towards the coast and follow the cycling path along the coast road towards Preko. Cross the ferry to Ugljan Island and then continue cycling towards the northern tip of the island. Follow the signs to Veli Rat. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Veli Rat, look for the lighthouse, which is a prominent landmark.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, start from the Zadar waterfront (Riva). Head towards the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Preko on Ugljan Island.
