Bus
From Zadar city center, head to the main bus station located at Obala kralja Tomislava 5. Take bus number 34 towards Veli Rat. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Veli Rat, disembark at the last stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 500 meters northwest on Veli Rat Street until you reach the Lighthouse Veli Rat, which will be on your left.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Zadar. Head out towards the coast and follow the cycling path along the coast road towards Preko. Cross the ferry to Ugljan Island and then continue cycling towards the northern tip of the island. Follow the signs to Veli Rat. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Veli Rat, look for the lighthouse, which is a prominent landmark.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Zadar waterfront (Riva). Head towards the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Preko on Ugljan Island. Once you arrive in Preko, continue walking or take a local bus towards Veli Rat. The total journey will take several hours, so be prepared for a long trek. Follow the coastal path and look for signs directing you to Veli Rat and the lighthouse.

For a more scenic option, you can hire a taxi boat from the Zadar waterfront. Ask the boat operator to take you to Veli Rat. The journey will offer beautiful views and take around 30 minutes.
