Getting There

  • Tram

    If you're near the city center, you can take tram number 6 or 11 from any central tram stop. Board the tram heading towards 'Ravnice' for tram 6 or 'Buzin' for tram 11. Get off at the 'Zrinjevac' stop, which is a short walk from Upper Town. From there, walk towards the park and follow the signs leading up to Gornji Grad (Upper Town).

  • Walking

    If you are already in the lower town (Donji Grad), you can walk to Upper Town. Head towards the nearest street that leads to Strossmayer Promenade, which is a scenic walkway. Follow the promenade uphill until you reach the Upper Town. This should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.

  • Bus

    Take bus number 100 from the main bus station (Autobusni Kolodvor) towards 'Zagreb Airport'. Get off at the 'Trg bana Josipa Jelačića' station. From there, it’s a short walk to Upper Town. Head north on Ilica street, and then take a left towards the funicular railway that will take you to Gornji Grad.

  • Funicular

    If you are at the base of the Upper Town, you can take the funicular from the Lower Town (Ilica street) to Upper Town. The funicular station is right next to the Dolac Market. It operates frequently and is a quick way to reach the top. Once you arrive at the top, you will be steps away from the attractions of Upper Town.
