Getting There

  • Car

    From Willemstad, drive towards Westpunt, following signs for Soto. After Villapark Fontein, look for a yellow wall with a sign for Cas Abao. Turn left onto the side road towards the beach. The beach is about a 30-minute drive from Willemstad. Be aware that the last kilometers are on an unpaved road. There is free parking at the beach. Entrance fee is $6 USD (10 ANG) per car Monday to Saturday and $7 USD (12.50 ANG) on Sundays and holidays, for a maximum of 4 people. Each additional person pays $1.40 USD (2.50 ANG) extra.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from Willemstad or the cruise port. A taxi ride to Cas Abao Beach from Willemstad takes approximately 35 minutes. It's best to arrange a return trip with the driver, as taxis are not readily available at the beach. The estimated taxi fare from Willemstad to Cas Abao Beach ranges from $70 to $80 USD. Some taxi services may charge an additional 25% for each passenger exceeding four.

  • Public Transport

    Take a local bus from Willemstad towards Westpunt. Ensure the bus is heading to Westpunt, as it will pass by Cas Abao Beach. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Inform the bus driver of your destination, and they will drop you off near the beach entrance. From the bus stop, there might be a short walk to the beach entrance. The bus fare is approximately $2 USD.

Today, Cas Abao Beach is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, especially on Sundays.
