Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in the central area of Punda, Keukenstraat is easily accessible by foot. Head towards the waterfront, then follow the main street leading into the heart of Punda. Look for local landmarks as you navigate; Keukenstraat is known for its historical significance, so locals can likely point you in the right direction. The walk should take about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your starting point.

• Public Transport

  Curaçao's public transportation system includes buses that serve various destinations across the island. From either of the main bus terminals in Punda or Otrobanda, you can take a bus that stops near enough to the city center to walk to Keukenstraat. Bus fares are reasonable, and tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver. Ensure you have exact change. Konvoi, which are larger buses, and smaller vans with 'Bus' signs provide transport from the bus stations to almost every neighborhood on the island. Bus 1B runs from the bus station in Schottegat Punda to Otrobanda. Single fare: Approximately 1.50-2.50 ANG.

• Taxi

  Taxis are readily available in Willemstad. You can find taxi stands at Punda, Otrobanda, the Curaçao Cruise Port, and Hato International Airport. It's advisable to agree on a fare with the driver before starting your journey. A taxi ride within Willemstad, such as from the Curaçao Cruise Port to Keukenstraat, will likely cost around 40 USD. Keep in mind that there may be a 25% surcharge per additional rider once you have more than four people.

• Parking

  Parking in Curaçao is generally easy and often free, except in the downtown area. In most parts of Punda and large sections of Otrobanda, parking costs 1 ANG per hour from Monday to Saturday, between 8 AM and 6 PM. You can pay at parking meters using coins or a prepaid parking card, which can be purchased from parking attendants. Debit and credit cards are not accepted at the meters. However, you can download the Flowbird app to register and pay online using a credit card. If you paid at a parking terminal and need more time, you must purchase a new ticket and place it on your dashboard. If you paid via the Flowbird app, you can extend your parking session directly in the app.
