Car

From Willemstad, take Weg Naar Westpunt. Follow the signs to Westpunt and Shete Boka National Park. Turn onto the dirt road leading to the park. The entrance fee is $15 USD for adults. Follow the road to the parking area for Boka Pistol.

Public Transport

From Willemstad, take the bus towards Westpunt. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at Shete Boka National Park. From the bus stop, there is a short walk to the park entrance. The entrance fee is $15 USD for adults.

Boka Pistol is a highlight of Shete Boka National Park, where the raw power of the Caribbean Sea meets Curaçao's rocky coastline. The name 'Boka Pistol' comes from the unique way waves crash into a narrow inlet, compressing the water and forcing it upwards with the sound of a gunshot.Visitors can witness this natural phenomenon from a shaded viewing platform, where they can safely observe the breathtaking wave action. The powerful waves create a stunning display as they explode against the back wall of the boka, shooting upwards at a 45-degree angle. The rugged terrain and steep dirt roads leading to Boka Pistol add to the sense of adventure.Shete Boka National Park was established in 1994 to protect important nesting sites for sea turtles. The park features a variety of natural wonders, including blowholes, caves, and secluded beaches.
