Walking
From the Queen Emma Bridge in Punda, cross into Otrobanda. Upon exiting the bridge, turn left and walk along the waterfront. The Captain is located a short distance along De Rouvilleweg, opposite the ferry terminal. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes, offering scenic views of the harbor.
Public Transport
From the Otrobanda bus terminal (also known as AWASA), walk north towards the waterfront. Turn left onto De Rouvilleweg. The Captain will be on your right, opposite the ferry terminal. Bus fares within Willemstad typically cost around 2 ANG (approximately $1.20 USD). Alternatively, take Bus 1B from the Punda bus terminal to Otrobanda; from there, follow the walking directions.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are readily available throughout Willemstad. Request a drop-off at De Rouvilleweg in Otrobanda, opposite the ferry terminal. A short taxi ride from Punda or other parts of Otrobanda should cost approximately 25-30 ANG (around $14-$17 USD), depending on traffic and distance.
Ferry
From Punda, take the free ferry located near the Queen Emma Bridge to the Otrobanda side. Upon disembarking, The Captain is directly opposite the ferry landing on De Rouvilleweg. The ferry operates frequently throughout the day, providing a quick and scenic transfer.
Driving
If driving, navigate to Otrobanda and follow signs for the Kurá Hulanda Museum or the ferry terminal. Note that parking in the immediate vicinity can be limited. Free street parking may be available along De Rouvilleweg or in nearby areas, but these spots fill up quickly. Alternatively, consider parking at the Renaissance Resort parking garage, which offers free parking and is a short walk to The Captain. Paid parking is available in designated areas for 1 ANG per hour from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
