Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the center of Willemstad, head to the nearest bus stop located on the main road, which is the Schottegatweg. Look for buses marked with 'Marie Pampoen' or any bus heading towards the eastern side of the island. The fare is inexpensive, usually around 2-3 guilders. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic ride, which should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for your stop near Marie Pampoen Beach. When you get off the bus, walk towards the beach entrance.

• Walking

  If you're staying in a nearby area, you can walk to Marie Pampoen Beach. Start by heading towards the coast from your location. Navigate towards the south-east, keeping the water on your right. Follow the signs that direct towards local beaches. It’s about a 30-45 minute walk from the center of Willemstad, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Once you reach the Marie Pampoen area, look for pathways leading down to the beach.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle from one of the shops in Willemstad. Once you have your bike, head towards the Schottegatweg and follow it east. The ride to Marie Pampoen Beach will take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to stay on designated bike paths where available. Upon arrival, lock your bike at one of the bike racks near the beach entrance.

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi. Hail a taxi or call for one from your hotel. Inform the driver you want to go to Marie Pampoen Beach.
