Walking
If you're starting from the famous Queen Emma Bridge in Punda, head southeast along the waterfront promenade known as the 'Otrabanda' area. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the promenade, about 10-15 minutes. You will see the iconic colorful buildings on your left side and the water on your right. Once you reach the end of the promenade, turn right onto the street called 'Kaya C. D. R. D. M. M.' and walk for about another 5 minutes until you reach the large open square known as Gouvernementsplein, where the statue is located.

From the Renaissance Mall in Punda, exit the mall and head toward the main street, 'Banda Abou.' Walk along 'Banda Abou' towards the east for about 5 minutes until you see the signs for Gouvernementsplein. Once you arrive at Gouvernementsplein, the Statue Kolonel Carel N. (Shon Chi) Winkel will be prominently displayed in the square.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the bus terminal in Punda, take bus number 1 or 2 that heads toward the central area. Stay on the bus for a couple of stops and get off at 'Gouvernementsplein.' The statue is just a short walk from the bus stop, and you will see it as you enter the square.

If you are near the floating market in Punda, walk towards the main road and head southeast along the waterfront. Continue straight for about 10 minutes, and you will come to Gouvernementsplein. The statue is located in the center of this square, making it easy to spot.
