Getting There

Driving
From Paphos, take the B7 road towards Peyia. Follow signs for Peyia and then turn onto Avakas Gorge Road (also known as Avakas Gorge Access Road). Continue on this road until you reach the parking area near the entrance of the Avakas Gorge Nature Trail. Note that the road leading to the trailhead can be challenging for standard vehicles. Parking is free. Some blogs recommend parking at the Agia Matrona Church and walking the rest of the way to avoid the dirt road.

Public Transport
From Paphos, take bus line 615 to Coral Bay, then transfer to bus 616. Get off at Agiou Georgiou Ave and walk approximately 38 minutes to the gorge. Alternatively, take the 607 bus from Karavella Bus Station to Pegeia Public Parking Place. From there, it's approximately 2 kilometers (25-30 minute walk) to Avakas Gorge Road. Bus tickets cost around $3.

Taxis are available from Paphos to Avakas Gorge Nature Trail. The journey takes approximately 27 minutes and costs between $30-$40. A taxi from Peyia to the gorge will be cheaper.
