From the central Famagusta bus station or the city center, Othello Castle is easily accessible on foot. Head southeast on Atatürk Boulevard, then turn left onto Othello Street (Othello Sk). The castle entrance will be on your left after a short walk, approximately 10-15 minutes from the bus station. Look for the prominent stone structure and surrounding city walls. This is a straightforward and pleasant walk through the historic part of Famagusta.
Public Transport
From the central bus station in Famagusta, you can also take a local minibus (dolmuş) towards the 'Suriçi' (old city) area. These minibuses are frequent and inexpensive. Ask the driver to drop you off near Othello Castle; they are familiar with the location. The ride is short, about 5-10 minutes, and will leave you within a few minutes' walk of the castle entrance. A single ride should cost around 5-10 Turkish Lira.
