How to get there

Konnos Beach is reached by road from Protaras or Ayia Napa, with the approach passing through the Cape Greco area. Transportation

A hired car offers the greatest flexibility for combining Konnos Beach with Cape Greco’s viewpoints, coastal paths and nearby settlements, although summer parking and traffic can make arrival less straightforward. Buses may be useful from Protaras or Ayia Napa, but they do not remove the need to walk from the stop and should not be treated as a comprehensive sightseeing network. Currency and Payment

Cyprus uses the euro (€). Cards and contactless payments are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and larger businesses in Protaras and Ayia Napa, while smaller seasonal beach facilities may have more limited arrangements. Carrying some cash is sensible for refreshments, parking-related needs or small purchases, particularly when spending time away from the resorts. Cash machines are easier to find in the main towns than around the beach and national forest park. Visitors should not assume that every kiosk, beach service or independent provider accepts the same payment methods.

Safety

The main concerns at Konnos are environmental rather than urban: intense summer heat, strong sun, slippery or uneven rock, and changing sea conditions. Swim only when conditions are suitable and take particular care around rocky edges, submerged surfaces and boats or recreational equipment. The approach to surrounding viewpoints and coastal features can involve exposed paths and cliff edges, so remain on appropriate routes and keep well back from drops. Sea caves and rough shoreline sections should not be entered casually. Carry water when walking in Cape Greco, as shade and services are limited outside the beach area.

Konnos works particularly well as part of a half-day or full-day Cape Greco itinerary rather than as an isolated stop, with Protaras the most convenient base for combining beach time with local services.
