The Statue of General Kimon, located on the bustling Foinikoudes promenade in Larnaca, Cyprus, commemorates the Athenian general who sought to liberate Cyprus from Persian rule in the 5th century BC. Kimon's bust, a creation of Pentelic marble by sculptor George Alexandropoulos, has graced the promenade since 1927. Walking
The Statue of General Kimon is located in the center of Larnaca on the Foinikoudes promenade, easily accessible by foot from most central locations. From St. Lazarus Church, walk towards the sea and continue along the promenade, heading north. The statue will be on your right, a short walk from the Larnaca Marina. The walk is flat and paved, suitable for all fitness levels.
