Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Ayia Napa. Head southwest on Leoforos Kryou Nerou towards Nissi Avenue. Continue straight for about 2 km. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Nissi Avenue. Follow the signs for Makronissos beach. After about 1.5 km, you will see signs indicating Makronissos beach. Turn right onto the access road leading to the beach. There is a parking area available near the beach, which may incur a small fee, typically around €2-€3 for a few hours.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take a bus from the Ayia Napa bus terminal. Look for buses heading towards Makronissos Beach; these are usually marked with clear signage. The bus ride will cost approximately €1.50 each way. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Makronissos stop, it’s just a short walk of about 500 meters to the beach. Follow the path straight ahead until you reach the sandy area.
Taxi
Another convenient option is to take a taxi. You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Ayia Napa or call a local taxi service. The fare to Makronissos beach should be around €10-€15 depending on your starting point. The drive takes approximately 10 minutes.
