Public Transport
From Nissi Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on Nissi Avenue. Take bus number 101 or 102 towards Ayia Napa. Get off at the 'Makronissos' bus stop, a ride of approximately 10-15 minutes. Makronissos Viewpoint, situated in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, provides a captivating escape with breathtaking views of the azure Mediterranean Sea. The viewpoint is near the Makronissos Tombs, an ancient necropolis dating back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The tombs consist of 19 rock-cut structures, a small sanctuary, and the remains of a quarry. The deceased were placed in clay sarcophagi, and the architecture of the tombs is consistent, featuring a stairway to a rectangular entrance and benches along the sides.
Makronissos Beach, actually a trio of golden bays, is also nearby, offering a more laid-back atmosphere than the beaches closer to Ayia Napa's center.
