Car
To reach Forty Columns Fortress by car from central Paphos, begin by heading southwest on the main road, Poseidonos Avenue (A1). Continue to follow this road until you reach the roundabout near the harbor. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Agiou Antoniou Street (B6) and follow the signs to the archaeological sites. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see signs for the Paphos Archaeological Park. Continue straight until you arrive at the Saranta Kolones area, where the fortress is located. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from Paphos bus station. Look for bus number 615, which runs regularly and will take you to the Paphos Archaeological Park. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the park, it's a short walk to Forty Columns Fortress. Keep in mind that you might need to pay a small fare for the bus, typically around €1.50.
Walking
For those staying in central Paphos, you can also reach Forty Columns Fortress by walking. Start at the Paphos Harbor and walk along the coastal promenade, enjoying the sea views. Follow the path that leads to the archaeological sites. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take about 20-25 minutes.
