Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Paphos, take the B6 highway towards Coral Bay. After approximately 15 km, follow the signs to Akamas National Park. Continue on the road until you reach the entrance of Avakas Gorge. Park your car at the designated area. From the parking lot, head towards the trail head for Smigies Nature Trail, which is a short walk from the parking area.

Public Transportation

Take the bus from Paphos to Latchi. The bus departs from the main bus station in Paphos and the fare is approximately €2.50. Once you arrive in Latchi, you can take a taxi to Avakas Gorge, which will cost around €10-€15. Ask the taxi driver to drop you off at the entrance of the gorge. From there, follow the signs to Smigies Nature Trail, which is a short walk from the entrance.

Walking

Once you reach the parking area of Avakas Gorge, exit your vehicle and follow the path leading into the gorge. Keep an eye out for trail markers that guide you to Smigies Nature Trail. The walk is well-marked and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
