Getting There

  • Driving

    From Troodos Square, follow the signs towards Mount Olympus (Chionistra). Continue for approximately 2km on the main road (E910). Turn left at the sign for the Artemis Trail. Follow this road for about 500 meters to reach the Artemis Trail parking lot, the starting point of the trail. Parking is free. Be aware that parking spaces can be limited during peak season. There are no tolls on this route.

  • Public Transport

    Take bus route 64 from Limassol to Troodos Square. From Troodos Square, it is approximately a 30-minute uphill walk (2.2 km) to the Artemis Trailhead. Alternatively, local taxis are usually available at Troodos Square for a short ride to the trailhead. A taxi from Troodos Square to the Artemis Trailhead will cost approximately €10-€15.

  • Walking

    From Troodos Square, locate the clearly marked signs directing you towards the Artemis Trail. The walk to the trailhead is approximately 30 minutes and involves a gradual incline. Follow the paved road, enjoying the surrounding scenery, until you reach the Artemis Trail parking area and the start of the trail.

The Artemis Trail is a captivating 7-kilometer circular route that encircles the summit of Mount Olympus (also known as Chionistra), the highest peak in Cyprus. At an elevation of 1,850 meters, the trail offers breathtaking panoramic views stretching across the island, including the districts of Limassol, Paphos, and Nicosia. The trail is known for its easy to moderate difficulty, making it accessible to hikers of various fitness levels. The path is well-maintained and marked, guiding you through diverse landscapes, including black pine forests, rocky terrains, and open areas with stunning vistas.
