4.9

Latchi Harbour, nestled in the northwest of Cyprus, is a captivating blend of natural beauty and authentic Cypriot charm. Originally a small fishing harbor used for exporting carobs, Latchi has transformed into a vibrant marina that serves as a gateway to the Akamas Peninsula. The harbor's name is derived from the Greek word "lakki," meaning water hole or well, reflecting its historical significance as a watering spot for farmers and their livestock. Today, Latchi Harbour is a bustling hub of activity, lined with restaurants, cafes, and shops. Visitors can savor fresh seafood at waterfront tavernas, embark on boat trips to the Blue Lagoon, and indulge in various water sports such as snorkeling and diving. The harbor also offers essential services like boat repairs and fuel stations. The harbor's transformation includes modernization of the port warehouses, some of which have been converted into restaurants and cafes, preserving the area's history. The expansion of the port aims to enhance both sea and land infrastructure, increasing its capacity and improving facilities for visitors. Latchi Harbour provides access to nearby attractions such as the Akamas National Park, known for its diverse flora and fauna, and the Blue Lagoon, famous for its crystal-clear waters. Whether seeking relaxation or adventure, Latchi Harbour offers an unforgettable experience, blending natural beauty, local cuisine, and outdoor activities.
