Getting There

  • Driving

    The most convenient way to reach Mount Olympos is by car. From Troodos village, follow the well-paved road (F935) towards the summit. The drive is approximately 3.6 km (2.23 miles) and takes around 10 minutes. Parking is available near the Sun Valley Olympos restaurant, about 350 meters below the summit. Be aware that the road can be steep in some sections. During winter, ensure your vehicle is equipped for snowy conditions.

  • Public Transport

    From major cities like Nicosia, Limassol, or Paphos, take a bus to Troodos village. From Troodos Square, a local bus service may run towards the Olympos area. Check the local schedule for timings, as they can vary. Get off at the stop closest to the Olympos ski resort. From there, follow signs to the hiking trail leading to Mount Olympos, approximately a 30-60 minute hike.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Troodos village, start at Troodos Square and follow the signposts towards Mount Olympos. The well-marked path leads uphill through pine forests. After a 1.5 to 2-hour hike, you'll reach a viewpoint with a distant view of the peak. Continue on the trail to reach Mount Olympos.
