Car
If you are driving, head towards the village of Omodos, located within Troodos National Forest Park. From the main road (A1), take the exit towards Troodos and follow the signs for Omodos. After arriving in Omodos, look for signs pointing to Timios Stavros Monastery. It is located in the center of the village, and you can park your car in designated parking areas nearby. Note that parking may incur a small fee, generally around €2-€3 per hour.
Public Transportation
To reach Timios Stavros Monastery using public transport, take a bus from Limassol to Omodos. Buses operate several times a day, and the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Omodos, the monastery is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards the village center, and you will find the monastery easily. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited, especially on weekends.
Walking
If you are already within Troodos National Forest Park and prefer walking, you can hike to Timios Stavros Monastery. There are several marked trails leading from different points in the park to Omodos. The trails are well-maintained and offer beautiful views of the surrounding nature. Ensure you have a map or a GPS device, as some paths may not be well signposted. The hike may take between 1 to 2 hours depending on your starting point.
