Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by entering the address 'V Pevnosti 159/5b, 128 00 Praha 2-Vyšehrad' into your GPS. From the main highways in Bohemia, you can take the D1 motorway towards Prague. Once you get close to the city, follow signs for the city center (Centrum). Take the exit for 'Vyšehrad' and continue straight until you reach the park area. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to find a spot in the surrounding streets, which may incur parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can start by getting to Prague's main train station (Hlavní nádraží) if you are coming from another town in Bohemia. From there, take metro line C (the red line) towards Háje. Get off at the 'Vyšehrad' station. Once you exit the metro station, follow the signs to Vyšehrad Castle. The entrance to Vyšehradské sady is a short walk from the castle. Tickets for the metro cost around 40 CZK for a 30-minute ride, and you can purchase them at ticket machines in the station.

• Bus

  If you are near the city center, you can also take bus number 134 from 'Karlovo náměstí' towards 'Nuselské schody.' Get off at the 'Vyšehrad' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Vyšehradské sady. A single bus ticket costs approximately 40 CZK, which can be purchased at ticket machines or from the bus driver.

• Tram

  Alternatively, you can take tram number 17 from various points in Prague. If you board at 'Národní třída' tram stop, take the tram towards 'Nádraží Hostivař.' Get off at the 'Vyšehrad' stop. The park is a few blocks away from the tram stop. A single tram ticket also costs around 40 CZK and can be purchased at the tram stop.
