Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Prague and head southwest. Take the D5 motorway towards Plzeň. After about 25 km, take exit 10 towards Karlštejn. From the parking area, it's a short 15-minute walk to the castle entrance.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take a train from Prague's main railway station (Hlavní nádraží) to Karlštejn. Trains run approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Upon arriving at Karlštejn train station, exit and follow the signs to the castle. It's a scenic 30-minute walk uphill to the castle, and you may encounter small shops and cafes along the way. Ensure you check the train schedule for return trips, as they may vary, especially on weekends.

Bicycle

For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle in Prague and take the dedicated bike path along the Berounka River towards Karlštejn.
