Getting there

Car

If you are driving, take the D6 highway towards Karlovy Vary. Exit at Loket (exit 143). Follow the signs for Loket, and then navigate to Zámecká 67, where Loket Castle is located. The castle is well-marked along the route. There is public parking available near the castle, and parking fees may apply.

Train

For those using public transportation, take a train to the Loket train station. From major cities like Prague or Plzeň, you can catch a train to Karlovy Vary and then transfer to a regional train heading to Loket. The train ride takes approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at Loket station, it's a 15-20 minute walk to the castle. Follow the signs towards the town center and then to Zámecká 67.

Bus

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Karlovy Vary to Loket. Buses frequently run from Karlovy Vary Bus Station to Loket, with a travel time of around 30 minutes. Once you reach Loket, walk towards Zámecká 67, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as they may vary.

Walking

If you are already in Loket, you can easily walk to Loket Castle from anywhere in the town. The castle is a prominent landmark, so simply head towards Zámecká 67, and you will see the castle's towers and walls as you approach.
