If you're driving to Šumava National Park, begin your journey from Prague. Take the D5 highway towards Plzeň. After about 90 km, merge onto the E49 towards Klatovy. Continue on the E49 for about 30 km until you reach the town of Klatovy. From Klatovy, follow the signs to Sušice and then to Kašperské Hory, which is one of the main access points to the park. The total drive should take around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic.
