Getting There

  • Bus

    From Karlovy Vary, head to the main bus station located at Tržiště 4. You can take bus number 5 or 6 towards Loket. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time. Get off at the Loket bus stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Loket Castle. Head south on Zámecká Street, and you will see the castle ahead.

  • Train

    From Karlovy Vary, go to the train station at Křižíkova 2. Take a train towards Cheb and get off at Loket station, which is about a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at Loket station, exit the station and walk east on Zámecká Street for about 15 minutes. You will see Loket Castle on your left.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, you can start from the center of Karlovy Vary. Head south on Divadelní náměstí, then follow the signs towards Loket which is approximately 12 kilometers away. This is a scenic route that may take around 2.5 to 3 hours, so be prepared for a leisurely hike through the countryside.
