Olomouc City Hall: A Historical Gem in the Heart of Moravia

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Olomouc train station (Olomouc hlavní nádraží), exit the station and head northwest on J. D. Smetany street. After approximately 800 meters, you will reach the intersection with 28. října street. Turn left and continue walking for about 600 meters until you reach the Horní náměstí (Upper Square). The Olomouc City Hall is located at Horní nám. 583, directly on your right. Look for the iconic tower, which is an easy landmark.

• Public Transport

  From the Olomouc train station, take tram line 1 or 2. Board the tram at the station and travel for 3 stops. Get off at the 'Horní náměstí' stop. Once you exit the tram, you will see the Olomouc City Hall in front of you, located at Horní nám. 583. Simply walk towards it, and you will arrive in a matter of minutes.

• Walking

  If you are near the Olomouc Cathedral of St. Wenceslas, head east towards the main square (Horní náměstí). It is about a 10-minute walk. As you walk down the street leading to the square, you will see the Olomouc City Hall to your left as you approach the square. The address is Horní nám. 583.

• Walking

  From the Moravian Square (Moravské náměstí), walk west along 17. listopadu street for about 350 meters. At the intersection, turn right onto Horní náměstí. Continue straight, and the Olomouc City Hall will be on your left at Horní nám. 583. It is a short stroll of about 5 minutes.
