Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mikulov. Drive towards the north on Hlavní street (Route 52) and follow the signs for Kozí hrádek. After approximately 2 km, turn left onto Na Jámě street, and continue straight until you reach the parking area. There may be a small fee for parking, so be prepared with some Czech Koruna. The entrance to Kozí hrádek is a short walk from the parking lot.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Mikulov's main bus station (autobusové nádraží). Look for buses that head towards the Pálava region or directly to the village of Mikulov. Get off at the stop 'Mikulov, Na Jámě' which is the closest stop to Kozí hrádek. From there, it is a 10-15 minute walk uphill to the ruins. The bus fare is usually around 30 CZK, but check the local schedules for exact times and prices.
Walking
If you are already in the Pálava area and prefer walking, head towards the marked hiking trails that lead to Kozí hrádek. Starting from Mikulov, follow the signs for nature trails, which will guide you through scenic routes. It takes about 1 hour to hike to Kozí hrádek from the town center. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as some paths can be steep and uneven.
