Public Transport

Start from the city center, Prague. Head to the nearest metro station (e.g., 'Můstek' or 'Mustek') and take the metro line A (Green Line) towards 'Depo Hostivař'. Get off at 'Náměstí Míru' station (5 stops). Transfer to tram line 11 at 'Náměstí Míru' tram stop, and take it towards 'Záběhlice'. Get off at the stop 'Hlavní nádraží' (Main Train Station). From there, catch the train from the 'Praha - Hlavní nádraží' station to 'Veltrusy'. The train will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Veltrusy' station, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the Veltrusy Chateau. Follow the signs towards the chateau, and enjoy the scenic route through the village.

From Prague, head to 'Praha - Hlavní nádraží' (Main Train Station). Purchase a ticket to 'Veltrusy'. Trains run regularly, and the journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at 'Veltrusy' train station, exit and head north on 'Ostrov' street. The Veltrusy Chateau is located about 1 kilometer from the station, which is a pleasant 15-minute walk. Just follow the road signs directing you to the chateau.
Bicycle

For those who enjoy cycling, renting a bike in Prague is a great option. Start from the city center and head north along the Vltava River. Follow the bike paths that lead you towards 'Veltrusy'. The distance is about 25 kilometers, and it should take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Keep an eye out for the signs leading to the chateau as you approach the village of Veltrusy.
