Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Vinohrady area, you can reach Vyšehrad by walking, which is a pleasant and scenic route. Start at the Náměstí Míru (Peace Square) metro station (Line A). From there, head south on Náměstí Míru and continue straight onto Italská street. Follow Italská until you reach the intersection with Sokolská. Turn right onto Sokolská and continue until you reach the Vyšehrad Park entrance. The entire walk should take approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

  • Tram

    Another convenient way to reach Vyšehrad from Vinohrady is by tram. Head to the nearest tram stop, which is 'Národní třída' (Lines 6, 9, or 18). Board a tram heading towards 'Vyšehrad' and get off at the 'Vyšehrad' tram stop. From there, it is just a short walk to the entrance of Vyšehrad. The tram ride takes about 10-15 minutes, and a single ticket costs 40 CZK, valid for 90 minutes.

    You can also take the metro to reach Vyšehrad. From Vinohrady, make your way to the 'Náměstí Míru' metro station (Line A).
