Car
If you are driving from Brno, take the D1 highway heading north towards Prague. After about 75 km, take the exit 162 towards Velké Meziříčí/Žďár nad Sázavou. Continue on the D1 until you reach the exit for the E65 towards Jihlava. Follow the signs to Jihlava and then take the exit towards Humpolec. Continue on the E59 and follow signs for Nasavrky. Once you arrive in Nasavrky, follow local signs to Železné hory. It is advisable to use GPS navigation for accurate directions.
Public Transportation
To reach Železné hory using public transportation, start by taking a train from Brno to Hlinsko v Čechách. The train journey takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. From Hlinsko, you can take a bus towards Nasavrky, which runs approximately every hour. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nasavrky, Železné hory is accessible by foot, being about 3 km from the bus stop. Make sure to check the current train and bus schedules online or at the station for any changes.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or a ride-sharing service from Brno or any nearby city. This option can be more expensive, with costs ranging from 1,200 CZK to 2,000 CZK depending on traffic and the exact pick-up location. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
