The Brewery Museum in Pilsen is a unique cultural institution dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of brewing in the region. Visitors can explore a late-Gothic malt house, examine historical equipment used in the malting process, and learn about traditional brewing methods.Highlights of the museum include the world's smallest beer mug, a giant mug from Siberia, and a recreated brewing laboratory. The museum also showcases a diverse collection of beer steins, bottles, and other brewing curiosities.Visitors can also delve into the history of Pilsen's pubs and brewing-related professions such as coopering and stagecoach driving. The museum is connected to Pilsen's Historical Underground, offering a chance to explore the city's extensive network of medieval passageways and cellars. A beer shop on site offers a variety of beers and related merchandise.The building itself has a rich history, surviving large-scale reconstructions of Pilsen in the 19th century and a planned demolition in the 1950s. It was saved by Jan Hejtmánek, who restored the medieval town walls to which the brewing house was connected.
