Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto the D5 motorway from your current location in West Bohemia. Follow the signs for Plzeň. Once you reach Plzeň, take exit 77 towards Plzeň-ZOO. Follow the signs for Zoo and you will arrive at Plzeň Zoo located at Pod Vinicemi 928/9, 301 00 Plzeň 1. Parking is available on-site, but be aware that it may incur a fee, typically around 50 CZK for a few hours.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a regional train or bus from your location in West Bohemia to the main train station in Plzeň. Once at the train station, you can catch tram number 2 or bus number 30 towards Plzeň Zoo. The tram/bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding; a standard ticket costs around 24 CZK. After reaching the stop 'Plzeň Zoo', it’s just a short walk to the entrance of the zoo.
