Public Transport

From the Plzeň city center (e.g., Náměstí Republiky), take tram line 1 or 2 towards Severní Předměstí. Get off at the Palackého Náměstí stop, which is a short walk to Lochotín Park. A single public transport ticket costs around 25 CZK. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

Walking

From the Pilsner Urquell Brewery, walk north along the river Mže, then turn left onto Palackého street. Continue straight, and you'll find the entrance to Lochotín Park on your right. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and should take around 25-30 minutes.

Lochotín Park, located in Pilsen, is a verdant retreat with a rich history dating back to 1832. Originally conceived as part of a spa complex by Pilsen's mayor, Martin Kopecký, the park aimed to transform Pilsen into a renowned spa town. Although the spa's operations faced challenges, the park flourished, becoming a central social hub.Over the years, Lochotín Park has undergone several transformations. In 1849, the Pilsner Brewery acquired the area, expanding the gardens. The park saw periods of neglect during both World Wars but experienced a significant revitalization in 1942. Today, the park features landscaped gardens, winding pathways, and mature trees providing ample shade. Visitors can explore historical elements like the Arthur's Table and the Music Pavilion, which have been restored to their original form.The park also hosts various events and festivals, including the popular Metalfest in the Lochotín amphitheater. Its proximity to the Pilsen Zoo and DinoPark makes it an ideal destination for families. Whether you're seeking a peaceful stroll, a family outing, or a cultural experience, Lochotín Park offers a charming blend of tranquility and vibrant community life.
