Car

From Prague, take the D1 highway towards Brno. Continue until exit 90 for Velké Meziříčí, then follow signs to Zelená Hora Castle in Žďár nad Sázavou. Parking is available in the lower area of the castle with a 300-meter uphill walk. Limited parking is available for ZTP/P holders in the upper parking lot. Free parking is available.
Public Transport

Take a train from Prague to Žďár nad Sázavou. From the train station, walk approximately 20 minutes to Zelená Hora Castle or take a local bus. Bus lines 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 5, and 6 will bring you closer to the site. Get off at Bezručova - U pily or Zámek bus stop. Bus tickets cost approximately 20 CZK.

Zelená Hora Castle, or Green Mountain Castle, boasts a storied past, beginning as a fortified site in the Hussite Wars. The Švamberk family rebuilt it as a castle in the 15th century, and the Sternberg family transformed it into an early Baroque residence between 1670 and 1688.
