Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, head towards Baltimore Pike (U.S. Route 1) and follow the signs for Chadds Ford. From Wilmington, take I-95 S and merge onto I-495 S. Take exit 1B for US-13 S toward New Castle. Continue on US-13 S and take the exit for US-202 N toward Wilmington. Merge onto US-202 N and take the exit for PA-1 S. Follow PA-1 S and merge onto Baltimore Pike. The visitor center will be on your right at 1491 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take the SEPTA Regional Rail from Wilmington Station to the Media/Elwyn Line and get off at the Media station. From Media, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Brandywine Battlefield Park Visitor Center, as there is no direct public transit to the location. The taxi ride is approximately 15-20 minutes and may cost around $20-$30.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, there are bike paths along Baltimore Pike. Starting from Wilmington, you can take the bike path along the river and merge onto Baltimore Pike.
