To reach the C & D Canal Museum from anywhere in Delaware, first make your way to Route 1 or Route 40, depending on your starting point. If you are near Wilmington, take Route 1 South. If you are coming from the western parts of Delaware, you may want to use Route 40 East. Continue driving until you reach the intersection with Route 213. Take Route 213 North towards Chesapeake City. Follow Route 213 into Chesapeake City, and look for signs directing you to Bethel Road. Turn right onto Bethel Road, and the museum will be located on your left at 815 Bethel Rd. Be prepared for possible parking fees in the area, especially during busy tourist seasons.

From Wilmington, you can take the DART bus service to reach Elkton. Once in Elkton, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the C & D Canal Museum at 815 Bethel Rd, Chesapeake City, MD 21915, as there are no direct public transportation options to the museum itself.
