Driving
From I-95, take Exit 1A for DE-896 South towards Middletown. Follow DE-896 for approximately 8 miles, then turn left onto Route 71/301. The campground entrance will be on your left in about a mile. From the South, take DE-896/301 North, cross the Summit Bridge, and turn right onto Route 71/301. The campground is about a mile northeast on the left. Be aware that Howell School Road leading into the park can be curvier. Typical costs: A daily entrance fee is charged from March 1 to November 30. For Delaware registered vehicles, the fee is $4; for out-of-state vehicles, it's $8. Parking is included within the campground.

Public Transport
From Wilmington, DART First State Route 40 bus provides hourly service to the area. Take the bus from King St @ 11th St to Us Rt 40 @ Op Rickey Blvd. From there, it's approximately a 30-minute walk (1.5 miles) to the Lums Pond State Park Campground entrance. Typical costs: The DART First State bus fare is approximately $2-3. Consider the 30-minute walk from the bus stop to the campground entrance.
