Walking
Start your journey from the center of Bethany Beach. Head south on Atlantic Avenue until you reach the intersection with Garfield Parkway. Turn left onto Garfield Parkway and continue walking until you reach the boardwalk. Follow the boardwalk east toward the beach. Once you reach the beach, walk north along the shoreline until you enter Fenwick Island State Park. The WWII Observation Tower #1 is located on Assawoman Street, approximately a 30-minute walk from the boardwalk.
Biking
If you have a bike, start at the Bethany Beach Town Center. Follow the bike path south along Coastal Highway (DE-1) until you reach the Fenwick Island area. Turn left onto Assawoman Street and continue until you reach the WWII Observation Tower #1. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.
Public Transit (Bus)
From Bethany Beach, locate the nearest bus stop for the DART First State bus service. Take the bus heading north toward Rehoboth Beach. Get off at the Fenwick Island stop. From there, walk east toward the beach and then north along the shoreline until you reach Assawoman Street. The WWII Observation Tower #1 will be a short walk from the beach.
