Driving
The Delaware State Forest is accessible by car from various points in Pennsylvania and neighboring states. From Dingmans Ferry, PA, head west on US-6 W/ Milford Rd toward Log Tavern Rd. Continue to follow US-6 W for approximately 5 miles. Then, turn left onto PA-739 S and follow for about 6 miles. From there, follow local roads to access different areas within the forest. Parking is available at designated trailheads and picnic areas. Be aware that state forest roads may not receive winter maintenance.
Public Transport
While public transportation directly to the Delaware State Forest is limited, you can take a bus from New York City to nearby towns like Mt. Pocono. From there, you would need to rent a car or use a taxi/rideshare service to reach the forest. Bus fare from New York City to Mt. Pocono is approximately $54-$73. Taxi or rideshare costs from Mt. Pocono to the forest entrance can vary, estimate $20-$40.
