Getting There

• Car

  From Blackbird State Forest, head northwest on Blackbird Landing Rd toward DE-1 N. Merge onto DE-1 N and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 104 for US-13 N toward Dover. Continue on US-13 N for about 10 miles. Merge onto DE-12 W and follow for about 5 miles. Turn left onto US-209 N and continue for approximately 13 miles. Finally, turn left onto Dingmans Ferry Road/PA-739. Follow this road, and you will arrive at Delaware State Forest, located at Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328.

• Public Transportation

  From Blackbird State Forest, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest public transportation hub since there are no direct public transport options available within the forest. The closest bus station is in Dover, DE. Take a taxi to the Dover Transit Center. From there, you can catch a bus to Dingmans Ferry, PA. However, please check the local transit schedules for updated routes and times as services may vary. Once you arrive in Dingmans Ferry, you may need to use a taxi or rideshare to reach the entrance of Delaware State Forest.

• Bicycle

  If you are an adventurous cyclist, you can bike from Blackbird State Forest to Delaware State Forest. Start by heading northwest on Blackbird Landing Rd and then merge onto DE-1 N. Be cautious as DE-1 can be busy. After about 15 miles, you will reach the intersection with US-13 N. From there, follow the instructions for cars, taking DE-12 W and then US-209 N to Dingmans Ferry. Make sure to have a map or GPS ready, as some roads may not have bike lanes.
